St. Agnes Crucifix Post #13
I have been working a lot on the legs and feet. The first picture you can see my bench that I started using. It is platform that I made when I was sculpting the crucifix out of clay and now it is a handy bench to sit on while I carve on the feet and long enough to put some of my tools on.
The second picture you can see I have been working on the legs and feet. At the moment I am concentrating mostly on the back foot/left foot.
The third picture is the knot. When I need a brake from the legs or feet I work on the knot.
I don’t have any idea when this has to be done for. I am just working away on it. I have other projects I would like to get started but I need to get this one done first.

I just found your blog today and have caught up with your posts to date. Great work bother. I’ve done a few crucifixes, but nothing on the scale that you have. Keep up the good work.

Andy – I just finished reading your blog and looking at the pictures of the crucifix and all I can say is that you are truly a gifted artist. I will be so proud to have this carving in our church.

Thank you!
I need to start working on it this fall and winter to get it done. You need to see it and I have a few questions to ask about placement of the nails in the wrists or the hands? The spear wound on the left or right side. I think it should be on the left, but I see a lot of sculptures have it on the right.
